Eustace C. Osborne

Eustace Osborne

Eustace Osborne, affectionately known as “Benji,” is a dedicated public servant and aspiring politician from Montserrat. Originally from Cudjoe Head and now residing in Woodlands, Eustace is standing as a Candidate for the upcoming elections on October 24, 2024, under the banner of the Progressive Democratic Movement (PDM).

With a rich background in public service, Eustace joined the Royal Montserrat Police Force (now Royal Montserrat Police Service) at the age of 20, serving his country until early retirement at 40. Following the volcanic eruption, he spent time in the United Kingdom, maintaining close ties with Montserrat.

Returning to Montserrat in 2014, Eustace has worn many hats – from farmer to entrepreneur, security supervisor to operations manager at BBC Radio and TV. His diverse experiences have given him a unique perspective on the challenges facing Montserrat.

Inspired by political figures like John A. Osborne and his uncle Benjamin Chalmers, and encouraged by his mother Mary Chalmers Osborne (the renowned “Flag Lady”), Eustace has decided to step into the political arena. He is driven by a deep concern for the current state of Montserrat, particularly issues such as the high cost of living, healthcare struggles, and the need for improved security and infrastructure.

Eustace is committed to being a voice for the ordinary citizens, small business owners, and farmers of Montserrat. He aims to address key issues including access to the island, healthcare improvements, and strategic development of the Police Service.

As a candidate, Eustace Osborne promises loyalty to his people and a fresh approach to governance. He invites all Montserratians to join him in bringing about positive change for the Emerald Isle.
